The
technology knowledge infrastructure consists from 4 layers as shown below:
The
1st layer exists legacy or existing systems as CAD/CAE/CAM, PDM, ERP, SCM, KM,
e-Procurement etc., which are connecting to the data integration layer (layer2)
by EAI system.
The
2nd layer is engineering data warehouse that is installed generic data management
system, which is operated in common ontology. Bilateral translator is located
between existing systems and data warehouse.
The
3rd layer is for user applications to data mining, safety assessment etc. The
4th layer is for user browsing and data access to 2D and 3D data.
